Filling combi boiler old type filling loop

The filling loop is not fitted to the boiler on old type boilers it is connected to the pipes near the boiler

    because its agaist uk water regs to leave it on there, if the valves were to fail, u could possibly have the system filling endlessly, on the ther side, u may have central heating water going into the cold mains water
